MID-TOKYO MAPS

Fascinating city, fascinating site

Beautifully designed website. You get pulled in and it's hard to stop exploring. I have the same feeling for Tokyo - after 12 years there and 2 years away, I can't wait to get back and see all the changes. The city never sleeps. For all it's faults, especially the over-crowding - it is the most fascinating city to live in.

Impressive data, very useful site

Every other month, I check the mid-tokyo map web page and always am impressed with the data and information that has been created and displayed. Keep up the fantastic work, it helps all of us to understand the complexities and history of how tokyo has come to be, it also helps designers, historians, architects, researchers and anyone with a curious mind to see where we have been and where we may be going...

Amazing work!

I'm a web developer in Mexico City, and i have only one thing to say about mid-tokyo maps:
Amazing work!!
I'm blown away about the info arrangement and the info itself, i have to say it's a digital masterpiece on my book...

Can't wait to see the rest

I haven't seen the other maps yet, but if they are similar in nature of the first, then this is an excellent way for me to waste my time! I've only been to Tokyo once or twice when living in Yokosuka, but I long to return so that I may take in the sites and do all the touristy stuff.
I'm oddly proud of finding all the places in #01 Tokyo Undressed. I think it took me about forty-five minutes or so.
Whee! Off to the next!

Most fascinating site I've ever seen

This is the most fascinating website I have seen in all my web wanderings. I came to the site through a Macromedia email re: Sites That Inspire. This site was inspiring on many levels: conceptually, creatively, technically, sociologically. I am finding it difficult to leave the site to get back to work!

Once a month, I have been able to check into this site and satisfy my everlasting craving for information about Tokyo and maps. Your team has been creating a superb collection and I applaud you all for your efforts. Keep up the good work and looking forward to the future layers of cartographic Tokyo cake.

beautiful site!

I love the way you've used flash to convey information. One small thing - in the 'How Big' section, it's Tower Bridge in London, not London Bridge.

A gorgeous site!

As a cartography nut, I found the maps beautifully rendered and clear. I think it's fantastic that you cover so much history so easily, and in a way that is both informative and educational. Having visited Asia only twice in my life so far, I look forward to the time when I can visit this city (and I'll certainly know a lot more about it by then!)
